Students' reviews:

Maraika (Student from Advanced Chinese Class):

I have been a student at eCross Culture Center for more than three years.  I initially signed up for classes because I wanted to maintain the Mandarin that I had picked up after spending a summer in Beijing, but I have gained so much more than that.  Professor Hu and the other teachers are well educated, patient, organized, energetic and encouraging.  They have taught me an enormous amount about the Mandarin language as well as Chinese customs, culture, religion, politics and society.  I selected eCross because it was the lowest cost and most convenient Chinese school in Chicago, and it has turned out to be an excellent value.  The school provides accomplished teachers in focused and fun classes at a very reasonable rate.

Laura Cook (Student from Intermediate Chinese Class):

I've been taking classes at eCross culture since 2007. I highly recommend this school. Classes take place in a relaxed atmosphere but the teachers are serious, encouraging, friendly, and really want you to learn. They are all native Chinese speakers. I've taken Chinese through a few different Chicago programs and I've found eCross culture to be the best. Surprsingly many other programs don't provide the very methodical guidance that is necesssary to learn Chinese, such as correcting tones, repetition, homework, and practice. Chinese is very difficult but very rewarding and there is no other way to learn than through continous hard work. eCross culture is affordable too and classes are always small. Give it a try. Good luck with your studies!
